Peak District Wedding at Shiningford Farm | Kirsteen & Paul
A Peak District Wedding at Shiningford Farm
I’m really excited to be sharing the wedding videography highlights and some still frames (taken from 4K footage) from a Peak District wedding at Shiningford Farm near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.
Kirsteen and Paul got married over the early May bank holiday weekend and celebrated with a wedding reception held in a PapaKåta sperry tent at Shiningford Farm. Shiningford Farm is an exclusive use wedding venue in Derbyshire on the edge of Carsington Water.
What makes Shiningford Farm weddings special is that you can stay on the farm for the whole weekend, not just for your wedding day. The venue is perfect as an outdoor wedding venue and has plenty of space to set up a marquee, tent, yurt or teepee and space to sleep upto 34 guests. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in the Peak District, do take a look at Shiningford Farm, it’s really quite special!
Ed and I arrived quite early for morning prep to allow plenty of time before we needed to depart for the service at Brailsford Church, ten miles away from Shiningford Farm. With both the bride and groom were getting ready in separate areas of Shiningford it was a really relaxed start to the day.
Paul and Kirsteen chose Brailsford Church for their service, a tiny little church tucked away down a country lane with a churchyard filled with bluebells and blossom trees. I would like to say a big thank you to Revd Paul Taylor at Brailsford for being so accommodating on the day.
During the signing of the register the best man’s daughter gave a beautiful performance of ‘How Long Will I Love You‘ and ‘Amazing Grace’. She was really good!
After their ceremony and before heading back to Shiningford Farm, we made the most of the bluebells and blossom outside the church with some photos (by Leigh and Renata Mcara) and footage. I’m really glad we did, as the rest of the afternoon was quite busy. It’s always nice to sneak in some portraits early on so that there’s more time for chatting with friends and family during the afternoon.
Back at Shiningford guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the sunshine while the children played on the swings, followed by dinner and dancing.
For their evening entertainment, Kirsteen and Paul booked Piano Factor, a band who take live requests and got everyone up and dancing… as we left for the night, the party was just getting started!
Kirsteen and Paul, thank you for choosing us as your wedding videographers! We had a lovely time filming for you, and hope you enjoy looking back at your wedding films in the years to come.
