A Notley Abbey Wedding | Janine & Paul
A Notley Abbey Wedding with an Outdoor Ceremony
I’m a wedding videographer based in Birmingham, and I film weddings across the UK including Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. Notley Abbey on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire is a favourite venue of mine, and I’m sure once you’ve had a look through the stills (taken from video footage) and films from Janine and Paul’s outdoor Notley Abbey wedding, you’ll see why! If you’re planning a Notley Abbey wedding and are thinking about wedding videography, get in touch, I’d love to film for you!
Janine and Paul opted for my ‘Feature Collection’ which includes a full day of cinematic wedding videography coverage (morning preparations through until evening dancing) and the production of three videos; a 3-5 minute highlights film (above), a 20 minute, chronological storytelling feature film (at the bottom of this post) and a separate video featuring their full vows and speeches.
Janine and Paul got married at the end of August, on what must have been one of the hottest days of the year. They enjoyed an outdoor wedding ceremony at Notley Abbey in the walls of the old abbey. I’ve filmed at Notley Abbey before for a styled shoot which has been published on Wedding Sparrow and also over on Rock My Wedding, but it was a treat to return with Ed to film a proper wedding. Styled shoots are pretty, but I love filming natural reactions, real love, and honest relationships. These are the things that can’t be faked, no matter how good the hair and make-up or how skilled the models or actors!
Janine and Paul were surrounded by their family and friends and the atmosphere as they both got ready in the morning was magic with lots of children running around, playing with the lawn games outside, and dipping in and out of the room Janine was getting ready in with her sisters, mum and best friend.
Janine walked the aisle with her father to a special rendition of Codaline’s ‘The One’ sung by the Paper Song Birds, and highlights of the ceremony included a joint reading of ‘Today is a Day’ by the bride’s sisters, which is a popular reading they gave a special twist by standing and reading it together.
Ed and I enjoyed working alongside photographer Aaron Collett, a Northamptonshire based wedding photographer with a really relaxed, documentary approach to weddings. Watch their wedding videos to see just how beautiful the Buckinghamshire wedding venue Notley Abbey is and what a magical wedding venue it makes.
