Worcestershire Barn Wedding | Springhill Wedding Barn Fladbury

A Worcestershire Barn Wedding at Springhill near Evesham

Back in early August, Ed and I returned to Springhill Wedding Barn in Fladbury near Evesham to film for Helen and Matt, and today I thought I would take a break from my editing pile and share their films and a few words about their wedding day.

Springhill Barn is a wedding reception venue in the village of Fladbury, with views out over the northern reaches of the Cotswolds. It’s a venue we’ve filmed at before, and it was lovely to return earlier in the season this year to see the grounds and vinery in full bloom. I enjoy filming at Springhill for many reasons. The grounds are beautiful and there are so many options for photography and filmmaking, no matter what the weather is doing. The barn has been lovingly restored and has large glass doors which allow lots of natural light to flood the room during the wedding breakfast. However, to me what makes Springhill special is that it’s not a wedding factory. The owners only take on a select number of weddings a year, which means that each wedding feels really personal.

Helen and Matt chose to get married at St John the Baptist church which is just down the road from the barn. As is usual for weekend and summer holiday weddings, my husband Ed filmed alongside me which meant that I had less running around to do. I stayed with Helen and her bridesmaids and young daughter at Springhill whilst Ed made the short journey down the road to Fladbury to capture some footage of Matt getting ready with his best man.

After the service, everyone headed back to Springhill for drinks down by the lake in the sunshine, before heading indoors to the barn to eat.

Matt and Helen, thank you for trusting us with your memories, and thanks for being so lovely, warm and inviting to us both. It was a pleasure to film for you and I hope that your films together with your pictures help you remember the fun you had with your friends and family.

I will update this post with a full list of vendors in the next few weeks.
