A Classic English Wedding | Rachelle & Adrian
A Classic English Wedding in Essex
Rachelle and Adrian’s classic English wedding took place at Braxted Park near Chelmsford in Essex at the start of May. Braxted Park is an incredible country house wedding venue with beautiful grounds, a lake, options for both civil and church ceremonies and a fixed marquee around the back. I especially loved the bridal suite as there was so much space for spreading out and getting ready, as well as for photography and filmmaking. The attention to detail is amazing.
Rachelle and Adrian’s wedding was a special one for me and Ed, as we went to school with Adrian and so have known them both for years. On the morning of their wedding Ed and I arrived early to film the grounds together before parting ways as usual; I went to find Rachelle and her bridesmaids and Ed headed over to the cottage to see Adrian, his brothers and school friends who were acting as ushers for the day.
Rachelle and Adrian chose to get married at All Saints Church down by the lake in the grounds of Braxted Park. Ed and I have seen our fair share of churches but never one as beautiful as All Saints. It’s a tiny church with a lakeside setting, but what makes it extra special is the way the seating is set out. For weddings it’s possible to have your guests sat in the rows either side of the aisle, as well as at the front where a choir would sit, and elevated up on the sides, too. It really feels like you’re surrounded by friends and family. Combined with the number of candles burning throughout the church, it was a really atmospheric ceremony.
That’s enough words from me, I’ll let the short film do the talking about what a beautiful day it was.
