A Countryside Sailcloth Tent Wedding | Sarah & Craig
The highlights from Sarah and Craig’s countryside sailcloth tent wedding over in Dunchurch, Warwickshire. I absolutely love tipis and sailcloth tents. They’re so beautiful and atmospheric and are the perfect stage for a natural, relaxed, English countryside wedding.
Sarah and Craig’s beautiful, family oriented garden party wedding took place back in August in the traditional, Warwickshire village of Dunchurch. Their ceremony was held at St Peter’s Church and was followed by a garden party reception in a PapaKåta sailcloth tent up the road at the bride’s parents’ home. Their day was all about family, with contributions to the details of the day from all sides. The flowers lining the tent were homegrown by the bride’s mother and grandfather, styling and planning were provided by her two very creative sisters, and their wedding cake was lovingly made by an aunt.
What started out as a very wet and windy Saturday with further storms forecast turned into a breezy, but largely dry afternoon. I’m so glad the weather held, as the children got to play in the garden on the trampoline and lawn games, and by late afternoon the light shining through the sailcloth was magical. The pinnacle of the evening was a performance by local Rugby band The Paper Street Soap Company, kicking off the dancing with The Lumineers – ‘Ho Hey’ and Sarah and Craig’s first dance.
